ABSTRACT
The article announces that Thales Communications revealed its expanded multiband-radio technology at the International Wireless Communications Exposition (IWCE) in Las Vegas, Nevada. The company also demonstrated its P25 trunking technology using the Liberty portable and mobile radios. The exhibit includes Raytheon and ICOM products that function on VHF systems and the Thales radio functioning on an Etherstack 800 megahertz (MHz) system. Thales will begin volume production of its Liberty mobile radio by second or third quarter of 2010.
