ABSTRACT
The article discusses a court case wherein several trade union groups of Colombia filed a complaint against the Government of Colombia for alleged murders and acts of violence against leaders and members of trade unions. The entry notes a recommendation of the Committee on Freedom of Association that the Government of Colombia should ensure the effective protection of all trade union members, and issued a request that the Government inform them of the implementation of the Justice and Peace Act, No. 975, of 2005.
