ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the "Design abstracts retrospective" (DAR), an electronic citation index of design and craft periodicals of the 20th century which was launched by "Design and applied arts index" (DAAI) founding editor Chris Mees, and its supplement biographical "Design profiles" (DP) of Design Research Publications. It explains how to search and retrieve DAR citations and notes the contents of DAR and DP. The author also indicates the coverage of DP and the implication of the development of DAR/DP.
