ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the decline in the shipment of personal computers (PC) for the first quarter of 2009. It notes that the PC industry is down due to the decline with PC unit shipments that came lower than the estimates on the demand on portable PC. Gartner Inc. suggests that an increase in the units of portable PCs shipped, particularly in the U. S., cushioned the PC shipment decline worldwide.
