ABSTRACT
The article discusses various studies that investigate the corrosion and corrosion protection of materials in Ukraine. The study conducted by researchers headed by H. V. Samsonov, I. M. Fedorchenko and other experts in the field of development of new composite materials and coating is cited. Meanwhile, a study was also conducted on the nature and mechanisms of corrosion damage to the elements of reactors at nuclear power plants depending on the period of operation and operating conditions.
