ABSTRACT
The article presents the authors' reply to a letter to the editor in response to his article "A Teacher's Responsibility," in the November 1991 issue. He stresses that unproven techniques should not be advised by teachers for clinical practice and opines that it is unethical to try techniques on patients who are unaware of being used for experimental purposes. He clarifies that teachers should inform their dental students about advances in dentistry.
