PacketCable 2.0 OKs augur new services

The article reports that the first products certified with PacketCable 2.0 are the embedded digital voice adapters (E-DVAs) from the company Ubee Interactive and Thomson Corp. It states that the availability of certified E-DVAs will be an important step towards the development of innovative cable-based services. The E-DVAs were certified by the company CableLabs. The companies also achieved certification for a PacketCable 1.5 E-MTA that implements DOCSIS 3.0.
