ABSTRACT
The article offers updates on corporate stabilization from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the U.S. The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) has adopted revisions on mark-to-market accounting rules and on treatment of the "other-than-temporary impairment" of assets on April 2, 2009. The NCUA Board put US Central Federal Credit Union (FCU) and WesCorp FCU into conservatorship on March 20, 2009. The NCUA has drafted legislation which is favorable for credit unions.
