ABSTRACT
The article reports on the recommendations for the security of checked baggage based on the testing results conducted in eight airports in the U.S. The Office of the Department of Transportation Inspector General cites that such recommendations must improve the screening process of the checked baggage on its full implementation. The said testing includes interviews with transportation security officers, direct observations, and relevant documents review.
