ABSTRACT

The article reports that 20th Century Fox is moving to make "24" the first carbon neutral television series. Producers of the series, along with consultants, measured the carbon-dioxide output from the show's production and found ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Production has started using biodiesel fuel in trucks and generators and producers are purchasing carbon offsets to make up for the emissions of carbon dioxide generated as a result of explosions and car chase scenes in the show.
