ABSTRACT
The article presents information on the market share analysis released by Gartner Inc. regarding the semiconductor industry. According to the research company, 2008 will be remembered as one of the worst years in the semiconductor industry's economic history. In its report the company revealed that worldwide semiconductor revenue totaled $255 billion in 2008, down 5.4%, or a decrease of $14.5 billion, from 2007 revenue.
