ABSTRACT
The article discusses how the law or other extra-legal approaches can be incorporated in the growing trend of sexual grooming of children. It examines various factors that stimulate child sexual exploitation including live-time communication, cellular telephones, and digital media such as the Internet. It also talks about the concept of pedophilia and shows the process of its development. It dwells on the European and Irish perspectives on the sexual grooming of children. It presents an analysis on the legislation slated by the government of Ireland and Great Britain. It notes the need for parents and children to be properly educated in terms of the dangers of media literacy. It suggests that the +government to come up with a criminal law to prohibit and eliminate sexual exploitation.
