ABSTRACT
The article provides information on the ten-foot-diameter ceiling fans installed at the Tulane University as part of its traditional heating and ventilation (HVAC) system. It states that these large fans increase thermal comfort since they create convection-like air currents that gather inertia. As a result, a non-disruptive distribution of three to five-miles per hour breezes are produced.
