ABSTRACT
The article discusses topic related to the application of choledochoduodenostomy as an alternative for choledochojejunostomy in liver transplantation. It states that Roux-en-Y-choledochojejunostomy and hepaticojejunostomy have superseded the older techniques including choledochoduodenostomy and the fundamentally flawed cholecystoduodenostomy. It emphasizes that the change was determined by various factors including poor functions and recurrent cholangitis.
