ABSTRACT
The article discusses the impact of the economic stimulus package on electric industries in the U.S. It is noted that the electricity-related provisions stated in the economic stimulus package focused on the importance of electricity on economic recovery. Among its provisions are the expansion of energy efficiency and renewable energy, funding for researching and developing clean coal and carbon capture, as well as funds for developing the smart grid and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
