ABSTRACT
The article reports on the efforts of Dow Corning to come up with a technology solution that will make it possible for green tyres to be used on trucks and road tankers. In relation to this, Dow Corning scientists forged an agreement with Rhodia Corporation to collaborate for the development and commercialization of silica/silane products. Scientists from Dow Corning hopes to repeat their success a few years ago where they created a revolutionary technology called Phase Transfer Catalysis (PTC).
