ABSTRACT
The article discusses the merger between Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL) designed to support the creation of an enduring value for its stakeholders. It is noted that the share value enhancement will be accomplished through an agreed exchange ratio of one share of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) for every sixteen shares of Reliance Petroleum Limited (RPL). It is noted that the merger will increase both companies' equity capital, making it the world's 5th largest producer of Polypropylene.
