ABSTRACT
The article discusses issues related to mergers of cash-strapped charity organizations of Great Britain. Richard Black, head of the Charity Commission's mergers unit, said that joint ventures such as shared helplines, co-operative marketing and fundraising campaigns have become common among charity organizations. The Charities Act 2006 has removed many of legal obstacles to mergers and 16.5m pound has been granted by the government to facilitate voluntary organisations to fuse and modernize.
