ABSTRACT
The article announces the opening of the Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) manufacturing plant in Saltillo, Coahuila, northern Mexico in 2009. The facility has the capacity to produce 30,000 units of Freightliner's Cascadia heavy-duty Class 8 trucks yearly, which are sold in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The plant is said to be the second DTNA facility in Mexico, along with the Santiago Tianguistenco plant which manufactures Freightliner-branded trucks for the Mexican market.
