ABSTRACT
The article examines investigative reporting on the administration of criminal justice in Texas done by "The Dallas Morning News" newspaper. The project was designed to be presented in mulitmedia form, both in the newspaper's print edition and through its Web site, including the use of Internet video and audio presentations. The difficulties of this process, which involved a significantly higher workload for the reporters on the story, are described. It is noted that the multimedia presentation attracted a far larger audience to the Web site than would have been the case had it merely offered a reprint of what had been originally published in the newspaper.
