ABSTRACT
The article reports that Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. has put up an absence management to test its own employees in the U.S. The absence management system is a coordinated process that tracks short-term disability, workers' compensation and the Family and Medical Leave Act absences through its health services department. Employees make use of a clinical case management using the Medgate system which tracks absences.
