The article discusses disability and employee absences that affect efficiency and productivity in companies in the U.S. It states that employee absences is costly since it is an additional expense. Disability absence is seen as a growing problem for companies and employers turn to disability carriers to help them in their absence management. Disability carriers help employers in tracking employees' leaves and check if employees do not abuse their time off.
