ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the installation of a six-axis RX130 robot, developed by Stäubli Robotics, in a manufacturing facility owned by Morrill Motors Inc. in Erwin, Tennessee, to remove machining bottleneck. According to Shannon Vaughn, plant manager of Morrill, the company production has increased by 25% since they used the RX130 robot. He also enumerated other benefits brought by the robot, including operation and overhead cost reduction.
