ABSTRACT
The article features the 3-D Robotic Motion Compensation System for mitral valve repair. The technology is still being tested at Harvard University and Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts. It can make a traditional mitral-valve repair while the heart is beating. Researchers claim that using the technology in a surgery can reduce the risk of long-term cognitive deficits and shortens recovery time.
