ABSTRACT
This section offers news briefs concerning Lithuania. Minister of Foreign Affairs Vygaudas Usackas and his Finnish counterpart Alexander Stubb met on March 30, 2009 to discuss several issues including the importance of continued co-operation in the Baltic Sea region. On March 13, 2009, the European Investment Bank (EIB) announced its plans to lend �1.5 billion to Lithuania for priority investments until 2013. The country's consumer sentiment index did not change month-over-month from February to March 2009.
