Specialty Steel Imports Up 1.5% Through November

The article reports on the study conducted by the Specialty Steel Institute of North America on specialty steel imports in Washington D.C. During November 2008, imports of such steel totaled almost 895,714 tons, a 1.5% increase compared in 2007. Imports for stainless steel plate were 89,124 tons, a 35.4% decrease. Imports for stainless steel rod recorded an increase 0.6%.
