The article provides information on hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia. It defines the nature of such disease, which is often called as Osler-Weber-Rendu syndrome, and the frequency by which it occurs. It is being indicated that patients who acquire hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia need an annual monitoring and treatments such as laser therapy and embolization. Characteristics and diagnosis of hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia and the need for patients to have a regular replacement of iron stores are also indicated.
