ABSTRACT
The article reports on the consumer guide called Carbon Offset Watch launched by the Total Environment Centre (TEC), "Choice" and the Institute of Sustainable Futures (ISF). The consumer guide is considered as the first independent ranking of Australian carbon offset providers. Twenty of the largest offset providers from outstanding to adequate are ranked by the consumer guide. The most outstanding performers are considered Climate Friendly, Cleaner Climate, and Climate Positive. The worth of the Australian carbon offset industry is placed by TEC at $44 million annually.
