ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the implementation of the Fair Housing Act Amendments (FHAA) and its weaknesses in effectively applying antidiscrimination protection for people with disabilities. Although standards under Fair Housing Act Accessibility Guidelines (FHAAG) are integrated with FHAA to meet specifications for premises built at a later date than March 31, 1991, conflicting provisions are becoming a hindrance to its enforcement. Actions taken against noncompliance issues are also discussed.
