The article discusses the vehicle immobilization and tracking system used in plants to counter the threat posed by thieves setting up bogus companies. Patrick Sheeran, chief executive officer (CEO) of Kosran, manufacturer of immobilization and tracking systems, states that such equipment helps to monitor the location and usage of machines hired out to new customers over the first two to three days. He says if the machines are found to be used at a different location, actions are taken.
