ABSTRACT
The article discusses the Millennium Cohort Study done by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2001 to evaluate the impact of future deployment on long-term health. The study is said to have been set up to check on health issues of military deployments, occupational exposures and general military service. The study is mentioned to have provided data to military epidemiologists that helped in understanding the possible cause and effect relationship between combat zone deployments and problems such as post-traumatic stress disorder.
