The article focuses on BrightScope.com, a start-up site that offers to simplify the 401(k) market and determine the quality of such plans nationwide. A company name can reportedly be entered there and the BrightScope rating for it on a 100-point scale will appear. The site's use of an average 401(k) investor profile to compare it with every plan they rate in order to get a specific investor's retirement point based on the plan's investments, match and other variables is also discussed.
