HUMANISTIC MENTORING: Nurturing the Person Within

The article explores the current concepts of mentoring, and discusses the new kind of mentoring. According to the author, humanistic mentoring is the motivational construct that integrates care and nurturance for the person within the developing professional. It discusses the basic definition and the concept of mentoring. It also tackles the principles of humanistic mentoring and its potential benefits. It notes that the implementation of humanistic mentoring requires time to show an interest in the mentee as a person.
