The article reports on the impact of the leakage found during a routine inspection of a gas pipeline in the North Sea. It states that the leakage will bring gas prices up to a record high. Moreover, the recent inspection showed a leak sufficient to cause the pipeline to be shut down even though the pipeline was approved for temporary use pending a permanent repair.
