ABSTRACT
The article provides information on electronic transactions in the U.S. It relates that over the years there have been increasing numbers of transactions done electronically and affirms that it involved around four participants in the process including the issuers, acquirers, card associations and payment network. It also asserts that it involves processes such as authorization, batching and settlement.
