ABSTRACT
The article presents the Business Monitor International's (BMI) security ratings in Brazil. The country's continuing problems in gun violence and the outbreak of syndicates in May 2006 have affected its domestic risk rating and lowered it to 37.0. An overview on the different risks of the country including conflicts, terrorism, as well as physical safety is provided.
