The article reports on the economic performance of the hospitality industry in Brazil. It shows that hotels have been affected by competition from cruise linkers, a shortage of staff and high tax burden. It highlights several development projects in the country, including the beaches of Bahia and the six protocols signed between hotel operators and state governments for the development of beach resorts.
