ABSTRACT
The article discusses the effectiveness of older model regenerative thermal oxidizers in abating volatile organic compound (VOC) in an industrial setting. Lancaster, South Carolina-based Soliant LLC has discovered that old oxidizers are better than an aging regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTO) as they can accommodate VOC loading significantly higher than their current levels. The company has also been able to save $56,500 per month after it implemented its RTO replacement project.
