ABSTRACT
The article reports a decline in the revenue of the Northumbrian Water Group for the second half of 2008 compared to the first half of the year. The decline is revenue is partially caused by the economic downturn, which hit the water industry. The group is hoping for a reduced rate of inflation during the year that would reduce the group's interest charges on its £440 million of index-linked borrowings.
