ABSTRACT
The article focuses on how cable and telecom service providers, as well as their supporting vendor communities, address the recession. They are redefining, re-tooling, and re-thinking their 2009 and beyond spending strategies. All companies operating in the environment with tighter margin for error are doing thoughtful deployments of capital and disciplined spending. They also push technologies such as DOCSIS 3.0 tru2way and switch digital video to the forefront.
