ABSTRACT
The article reports on the need for in-building radio frequency (RF) coverage solutions to ensure communication among first responders inside structures. RF installations are said to allow building owners and operators to respond quickly to tenant calls and allow effective monitoring of costs and energy usage. Requirements mentioned for the implementation of an in-building RF system are indication of current signal levels within the building and knowledge by systems engineers of the federal requirements.
