Abstract: Bilateral pulmonary resections can be performed in patients with synchronous non-small cell lung cancers. However, pneumonectomy and lobectomy in the same patient is still an arguable approach. We report a successful sequential right upper sleeve lobectomy and left pneumonectomy performed in a 47-year-old male patient who had bilateral synchronous primary lung cancer.

Less than 25 cases of primary malignant melanoma of the lung have been reported in the literature, with limited mention in the surgical literature.
