ABSTRACT
The article discusses how the Indian hospitality industry is trying to repair the damage and rebuild its reputation after the terrorists attacks on the Oberoi and Taj Mahal Palace hotels in Mumbai, India, on November 26, 2008. Both the hotels' various wings are reopening in phases after renovations. The Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi, India, in 2010 are stated to be a catalyst for the growth of the industry. Vivek Nair of Leela Hotels has outlined a $500 million expansion plan for 2009.
