ABSTRACT
In this research, a historical status document has been analysed which was written by Ottoman Education Ministry ( Maarif Nezareti Celilesi ) numbered 13 in 1316 March 16 (AC. 1898) and this was sent to Yabanabad Secondary school by Ankara Education Directorate with a exponent written document in 1316 April 8. At the first part of this document belonging to 1896, deficiencies fixed in some teachers were expressed in a list by Education Ministry and required cautions were expresed to remove the deficiencies. At the second part, directives of Ankara Education Directorate take part that is about the subjects sent by Education Ministry must be obeyed. At the research, after giving information about Ottoman secondary schools, by the help of some information in the document, some problems of that times socondary schools have been explained by a connection with today.
