Yavsı has set his heart on Avnî, doing everything he could to complete Avnî Bey's collection of works. Among these efforts is his contacting many people procuring the necessary documents to write Avnî's biography and and his publishing them as notes. This study contains Yavsı's adventure titled "Tabsıra" in which he tells the adverse chain of events he experienced when copying Külliyat-ı Avnî and the documents he made use of when forming his biography.
