ABSTRACT
TaŞköprî-zâde, Ebü'l-Hayr İsâmüddîn Ahmed Efendi is one of the most important of Ottoman scientists. He has many books and articles. One of these articles is named Risala Lazzat al-Sam' fi Istigraq al-Mufrad wa'l-Yam'. In this article, author accentuates denotation of singular and plural words and considers actual and metaphorical intentions of these words and adduces his views about this matter.
