The article describes the construction of a house in New Zealand using macrocarpa wood. The house was constructed in a hectare of land on the coast of the eastern Bay of Plenty. According to the author, the property will appeal to purists and processors as it is totally clad with macrocarpa board and battens, from its mezzanine floor, pergola and stairs. Radiata framed the house and the entire property is braced with treated plywood while roof trusses were made of steel. The polished floors, meanwhile had some concrete for the purpose of trapping and storing the sun's heat.
