Agilent Technologies and National University of Ireland, Galway, open Biological Mass Spectrometry facility

This article announces the opening of a Biological Mass Spectrometry Facility on the National University of Ireland (NUI) Galway campus as part of a collaboration between Agilent Technologies and NUI. Functional genomics, proteomics, lipidomics and metabolomics research are the primary focus of hthe facility. There is a plan to use the facility to showcase new instruments to Agilent customers, as well as to run samples for demonstration purposes. Professor Terry Smith of NUI says the university is committed to boosting its mass spectrometry capability.
