Assembly;Mar2009, Vol. 52 Issue 3, p24
The article focuses on the benefits of the installation of a pair of automated checking and sorting systems employing In-Sight 1000 machine vision systems from Cognex Corp. and a pair of six-axis ARC Mate 100iB robots from Fanuc Robotics in the plant of Meister Group in Haute-Savoie, France. About 6,000 system parts per hour are processed by one of the test benches. There was a decline in the number of defective parts shipped following the installation of the systems. Jean-Marc Sermet of Meister notes the stability of the system.
