ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decision of venture funds, Benchmark Capital and Virgin Green Fund of Richard Branson to invest in GreenRoad technologies. A total of $14.5 million have been invested by the venture funds along with Balderton Capital. GreenRoad installs an in-vehicle device that flashes green, yellow, or red, depending on the drivers' performance. It provides an overview of the impact of the GreenRoad solution on the rate of driver crashes, at-fault crashes, risky teen driving behavior and fuel consumption.
